Have you ever wondered, "What will happen to me when I die?"
There is GREAT NEWS! The Bible tells how you can KNOW 100% for sure where you will go when you die.
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." - I John 5:13
Many people try to do "good" things to obtain salvation. Good works, religion, church attendance, baptism or any other "good" deed will only leave you falling short of eternal life in Heaven.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God; Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9
"And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work." - Romans 11:6
According to the Bible, there is only one way to Heaven, Jesus and Jesus alone!
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." - John 14:6
So, how can you receive eternal life through Jesus Christ?
First, accept that you are a sinner.
"As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one." - Romans 3:10
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23
Our sins have separated us from God. Before Jesus will become your Saviour and give you eternal life in Heaven, you must first know and accept that you are a sinner and are in need of Him to save you.
Second, agree that your sin must be paid for with death and hell.
"For the wages of sin is death..." - Romans 6:23a
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." - Revelation 20:14-15
According to God's Word, we are all sinners, and our sin must be paid for. If we fail to trust Christ in this life, we will die without Him and spend eternity separated from God in a literal lake of fire called "hell."
Third, believe that Jesus died for your sins and then rose again.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
The best news that anyone could ever tell you is that God loves you and Jesus died for you. All our sins were laid on Him. He paid our sin debt in full. It does not matter what sin you have committed, Jesus died to pay for ALL your sin.
He then overcame the power of death by coming back to life as He promised.
"He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified and the third day rise again." - Luke 24:6-7
Fourth, repent of your sin and receive His gift of Heaven.
"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23b
You can believe that God loves you. You can believe that you are a sinner and that sin must be paid for, but if you are not willing to trust God by receiving that free gift of eternal life in Heaven, you will die without Christ.
Last, trust Christ alone as your personal Saviour.
"...behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." - II Corinthians 6:2b
JESUS WANTS TO SAVE YOU THIS VERY MOMENT!
"...not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentence." - II Peter 3:9c
Let us review for a moment.
You can trust Christ right now.
God promises, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - Romans 10:9
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. " - Romans 10:13
Would you pray, put your faith in Christ alone, and ask the Lord to save you? Just say, "Lord, I admit that I am a sinner. I don't deserve to go to Heaven, but I believe that you sent your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for my sin. I trust Him, and Him alone to forgive my sin, to become my Saviour, and to take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen."
If you prayed that prayer and received Christ as your Saviour, would you let us know? You can call or email the church to tell us. We would love to rejoice with you on making the greatest decision a person could ever make, receiving Jesus Christ as Saviour!
