His father, Dr. Roy Westmoreland, was a gospel preacher for over forty years. His mother, Mrs. Laverne Westmoreland, is looked upon by many as the greatest lady soulwinner in this generation. Dr Ron Westmoreland labored with his parents in Memphis, TN. He was called on church staff in 1974 at Bethel Baptist Church. In 2005, Dr. Westmoreland led to challenge the church to break all attendance records. The church had 2,629 in attendance, 175 saved, and 46 baptized. Currently a new auditorium is nearly finished which will seat approximately 1,000.

Dr. Westmoreland is the author of “Successful Stewardship in the Baptist Church” and is a featured speaker helping other churches in the area of biblical stewardship.
